To create a profile on Ikinaki, sign up with your mobile number, password, and a recovery email address. To get started, add basic profile details and select categories that are of interest to you. Name, Birthday, Gender, Location, and Interests are mandatory fields.
On login through Facebook on Ikinaki, you share your public profile with Ikinaki.
The account titled "Ikinaki" is operated by Ikinaki's internal team. It features product reviews to help users discover trending products. If you find the posts on this account irrelevant, please unsubscribe to the account by clicking on the Unsusbcribe button on Ikinaki's profile.
To edit your profile details, go to Profile tab and click on My Account icon on the top right. In My Account, scroll down to the option Edit Profile. On the Edit Profile page, you will see all the profile information listed in different tabs. Click on each tab to edit the previously entered information.
Share your invite code with friends and invite them to the app. To get your invite code, go to Profile tab and click on My Account icon on the top right. In My Account, you will see your invite code on the right of your display picture.
Ikinaki lists more than 20k products and 400+ brands in personal care, health, food, beverages, and wellness categories, for reviewing.
To write a great product review, follow following guidelines that people find helpful: 1. Click a clear picture in good light. Take close up shots and make sure text in the image is clearly visible. 2. In the caption, succinctly add the most striking quality of the product or the reason to buy or not to buy it. 3. Add a score out of 5 for the product. For products that you like and would like to recommend, score them above 3.5, for average product that need improvement, score them between 2 and 3.5. For products you did not like score them less than 2. 4. Use review tags to explain your experience with the product. Review tags are quick to read and visible to your subscribers in their feed. Choose keywords that describe what you best like about the product and what makes the product recommendation worthy. 5. Use the Full Review field to describe your experience to your audience. This is not mandatory but you can use it to add important details you'd like to share. 6. Add where you bought the product in the “Where did you get this product?" field. It could be the address of a store in your neighbourhood or a link to an online store. This is also an optional field, but valuable to your subscribers who would like to buy your recommendation.
To post a review following fields are mandatory: Brand name, Product name, Picture, Caption, and Score. All other fields are optional, but make the review more helpful, informative, and interesting for your subscribes.
To save pictures that you take on the app to your gallery, go you your Profile tab and click on My Account icon on the top menu on the right. In My Account, you will see a toggle button to "Save Photos to Gallery". This toggle button is active by default.
On the Feed and Full Post view page, you will find the number of "Likes" under a heart shaped symbol. Click on Likes to view all the users who have liked the post.
You can edit your posts by clicking the edit button. Find the edit button on full view page of your posts. To open the post in full view mode, click on post image on profile, search, or feed pages. Edit icon is present under the post picture. You can also swipe left on your posts in feed to see the edit option. Once on the edit page, you can change all content of the post, except post image, brand name, product name, category, and product type. You cannot edit one of these fields. If you want to change something here, you will have to create a new post.
You can delete your post by clicking the delete button. Find the delete button on full view page of your posts. To open the post in full view mode, click on post image on profile, search, or feed pages. Delete icon is present in the top menu on the right. You can also swipe left on your posts in feed to see the delete option. A pop up will ask for confirmation.
You can report someone's post by clicking the Report button. Find the Report button on full view page of the posts. To open the post in full view mode, click on the post image on user's profile, search, or feed pages. Report icon is present in the top menu on the right. You can also swipe left on a post in the feed to see the button. A pop up will ask for confirmation. Select the reason for reporting the post, check the "report this post" box, and click on the done button on top right of the page.
When you see a review of a product you would also like to review, you can click on Quick Review button. Find the Quick Review button on full view page of the post. To open the post in full view mode, click on post image on profile, search, or feed pages. Quick Review icon is present below the product picture. You can also swipe left on a post in the feed to see the button. Once on the Quick Review page, you can add a review for the product. Score, picture, and caption are mandatory for posting a review. Brand name, product name, category, and product type will be pre- populated and cannot be edited. If you want to change something here, you will have to create a new post.
When you share a post on Facebook, the image gets shared on Facebook as a new post, with a caption that has the score, brand, product name, and caption from your review on Ikinaki.
As soon as you sign up, you will recieve a notification welcoming you to the platform. Regular notifications include - a reminder for verifying your email address, likes on your posts, new exclusive recommendations, saved exclusive that about to expire, and from the administrators, to tell you about a new addition to our brand catalogue, etc.
Ikinaki's search algorithm is built such that it shows you the closest match to your search query, if perfect matches are not found. In case you are unable to see any results for your search, it is because no relevant data exists on Ikinaki for your search.

In such a case, you might find search results which the search algorithm deems closest to your search term. As users continue to share more reviews, your searches will keep becoming more relevant.
When you create your profile on Ikinaki, you provide interests to help us understand the products you like and would like to explore. However, we keep adding to this list based on the type of products you review and recommend your friends. If you wish to remove interests from your profile, you can do so on Edit Profile page. However, it is mandatory to select at least 3 interests to help us share relevant exclusives with you.
When a brand agrees to offer exclusive trials to our users, we will try to match relevant users to their exclusive offer. One of the many criteria that we use is user's interests. e.g., we may consider users who have expressed interests in hair care, while running a campaign for a shampoo brand, etc.
Ikinaki's exclusives are a wide range of exquisite offers fom trending brands. These include, discount coupons, free samples, free trials, gift hampers, cashbacks, reward points, and more. Read the Exclusive description carefully to understand your offer.
When you share reviews on the app, Ikinaki makes a note of brands and products that you like, and we use that information to bring you offers, trials, etc. of similar products.
To get more relevant experiences, review only products that you've used. If you did not like something, write about it. If you liked something, definitely write about it.
We tag most popular Exclusives as "trending" "hot-selling" etc., to let you know the ones that others liked or saved the most. Don't miss out of these because the stock may get over before you are able to redeem them.
Exclusives are shown based on your product reviews and preferences based on our internal algorithm. So you may not see any Exclusives if there isn't any brand campaign relevant for you. If you are unable to find an Exclusive that you saw some time back on the Exclusive's tab, the Exclusive may have become unavailable because it expired. Most Exclusives are valid only for a limited time.
Exclusives are shown to different users based on their product reviews and preferences based on our internal algorithm. So your exclusives may differ from another user.
Unfortunately, you cannot redeem an expired exclusive. But if it is a saved exclusive, it will remain in your saved folder till the time you delete it. You will be able to access it if the brand revives the offer again.
To save an exclusive, swipe left on the exclusives image and you will find a save exclusives icon. Click on it to save an Exclusive. You can find all saved Exclusives in the Saved Exclusives folder next to Notifications icon in top right.
Each Exclusive is a special curated offer, and therefore can be redeemed once or more than once depending on the offer. Please read through description of the exclusive for details.
You can only delete exclusives from Saved Exclusives list. Once you delete an exclusive, you will not see the exclusive in your Saved folder. It will still be visible in the Exclusives tab. However, if you delete an expired exclusive, you will not be able to see or retrieve the exclusive.
If you cannot find a product to review on Ikinaki, send us the details of the product, i.e., product name, brand name, and product type, along with a link to its online vendor at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will review your request for adding the brand/product to our catalogue.
