Cold Pressed Juices

Juices, in general, have enough nutrients for your daily vitamins and minerals need. So complemented with your daily diet, they can be the ideal supplement. Cold-pressed juices just happen to be juices with more nutrients than regular juice! Regular juicing machines use metal plates which produce heat while juicing the fruit. This kills all essential nutrients and enzymes. Cold-press juicers, on the other hand, first chew the fruit, and then press it to extract enzymes and nutrients without damaging them.

Also, choose cold-pressed essential oils and dietary supplement oils to get maximum benefit, e.g., almonds, jojoba, rosehip seeds, flaxseed oil and evening primrose oil, etc.

Soap

Soaps are not exactly cold-pressed in the same way as oils and juices. Soaps making has an alternate to the mass manufacturing process, which is called the “Cold process”. This is a technique that saves soap ingredients from loosing its natural benefits by removing heat treatment from the process. Most hand made soaps are cold process soaps. These soaps have natural fragrances and preserve the aroma and benefits of essential oils and butters.

Tip: Look for soaps that are handmade. Regular soaps will not give you the same nutrients and skin benefits from the ingredients, like handmade soaps will.

Spices

Cold-pressed spices are the ones not churned and ground in a grinder with metal blades. They are first crushed with rollers without generating much heat, and this ensures that their vibrant flavours are preserved.

Tip: If you can’t find cold-pressed spices in your supermarket, you can cold press your spices at home. Instead of using powdered spices available in the market, you can buy whole spices and use your regular mortal and pestle to grind the spices at home before adding it to your food. If you have done this before, you know the difference in the aroma.

Cold pressed smoothies are not just healthy; they are also super yum! The reason being that they are full of flavour which is totally preserved in the cold pressed process.
